Terms of service

deals.dev operates a marketplace that places one sponsored text line inside coding tools (status bars, status lines, terminals) while they are in use. Developers who display these lines earn 70% of what advertisers pay for each confirmed impression or click. By creating an account or integrating a client, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy.

You must provide a valid email address and be legally able to enter into this agreement. You are responsible for activity under your account and API keys. Keep your keys secret; revoke any key you believe is compromised.

Earnings. Each confirmed five-second impression credits 70% of the serving campaign's per-impression price to your balance; validated clicks credit 50× an impression. Balances are tracked in an auditable ledger and can be withdrawn once they reach $25.

Fair play. Automating, scripting, simulating, or otherwise inflating impressions or clicks is prohibited. We enforce rate limits, display confirmation, and click validation. Fraudulent activity forfeits unpaid balances and results in account termination.

Payouts. Payouts are processed via Stripe or the methods offered in your dashboard. We may require identity verification where the law demands it. Taxes on earnings are your responsibility.

Pricing. Campaigns are priced by CPM auction: you set a price per 1,000 confirmed impressions (minimum $1) and book a number of impressions. The highest active CPM serves first. Clicks bill at 50× your per-impression rate, one validated click per impression.

Billing. Campaigns are prepaid via Stripe and activate on payment confirmation. You are billed only for confirmed impressions and validated clicks; unspent budget on a paused or ended campaign can be discussed with support for refund on a pro-rata basis.

Content. Ad lines must be truthful and lawful. No malware, phishing, adult content, gambling, crypto pump schemes, or deceptive claims. We may reject or remove any campaign at our discretion, with unspent budget refunded.

Do not interfere with the service, probe or breach its security, scrape non-public data, resell access, or use the API in a way that degrades it for others. We may throttle or suspend access that threatens the integrity of the marketplace.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Earnings depend on live advertiser demand and are not guaranteed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid to us (or we owed you) in the three months before the claim arose.

You may close your account at any time; accrued legitimate balances above the payout threshold will be paid out. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
